Sun Meditations in India
Sun Meditation I
There are many places in this big, bright world that are touchstones for your own spiritual understanding. Traveling lets the great light of inspiration seep into your life. You’ll begin to see, feel and love differently. And then, some things inside of you will call a truce and other things inside of you will reveal that there is more work to be done. Yet these clarifying moments are all gifts, bringing you closer to who you really are and not who you thought you should be.
If there is ever a point during your spiritual journey where you remain fixed in one place, feeling stuck, then it may be wise to negotiate with the universe. Tell it “I wasn’t ready then but I am now.” Say it again and again until your mind and heart have no choice but to believe it, too.
The universe will listen and you, barely noticing, will find yourself under a new sun. You will look up and know that you have arrived.
And if there is ever a point when you feel that you are stuck again, it is still indeed wise to renegotiate.
Sun Meditation II
I chose love as my origin. I choose love as my ending and everything in between will be love, too. I choose love as a way of being and nothing outside of me can take this love away from me.
Silence —
I am not the center of someone else’s universe. This is okay. In fact, this is a wonderful realization. I am bound to nothing and no one. I will not use force to create harmony with another because any relationship that requires force is artificial and was never meant for me anyway.
Instead, I will exist within the natural rhythms of life with acceptance.
If they do not love me, I accept.
If they do not choose me, I accept.
If they do not show up, I accept.
I take nothing personally. Yet what remains will be everything that is genuine and true.
Renounce —
I cling to nothing. I may not be the center of your universe, but I am mine.
Love —
And still, without any promise of being loved in return, I will continue to love and love and love.
Sun Meditation III
I am my own sun.
